How do I get to router settings?

There are a few different articles that link to a few different ways to access "Router Settings," but all of them end up in dead ends with links that do not function. Is there still a way to access advanced router settings? I am trying to port forward.

Have Uverse internet (ATT Internet or ATT Fiber) with one of the following gateways.... 210, 320, 510, 589, 599, 3600, 3800, 3801, 3812 with i38HG, 5031, 5168, 5258

With your device connected to the gateway using either hardwired ethernet or wireless connection enter 192.168.1.254 to access the gateway home page.

If you have a 5268 using ATT Fixed Wireless with antenna installation instead of hardwired you will not be able to access the needed screen for port forwarding as you are CGNAT behind an upstream router, you would ve receiving a private IP address instead of public IP address available on the Uverse platforms.

I have a 210 and entered in 192.168.1.254, but that sent me to a page with the link "http://192.168.1.254/cgi-bin/intercept.ha" and states "Success! Problem resolved. Internet access available. Close and reopen all your browser windows." What should I do?

The only way to access the management console is by using the IP address provided.

Try a single wired directly connected computer.

Hi there. PortForwardPlease. We understand that you are having a port forwarding concern. We would love to help you with that.

In order to open ports in your BGW 210, you will need to access your AT&T Wireless gateway from a desktop or laptop computer, via Ethernet. This is to ensure better results. The aforementioned article provided will provide you with the steps needed to help open the ports for your specific needs.

Just a tip: If your first attempt at port forwarding is unsuccessful, please factory reset your AT&T gateway to clear any and all settings. This is to revert the router to timeframe, when it was brand new and clean slate. Then retry the port forwarding again.

Please let us know if this works for you.

After connecting via ethernet, and trying to access the settings page, the same page popped up. I tried rebooting the modem, but the result was the same.

Hi there, PortForwardPlease. We understand that you are still unable to access your gateway to do port forwarding.  Let's look at that together.

Looks like that all efforts to resolve this port forwarding concern have failed. So our next step is to pull you into the direct message space.

Look for the notification in the upper part of this thread, near your forums profile icon. If you do not see the next message right away, please log out of forums account and back in.

Looking forward to working with you.
