Fixed IP Addresses
When by BGW210 receives it's address from the AT&T router, is this a fixed IP address? I had uverse in the past and at that time (8 years ago) a fixed IP was an "add-on" charge (as much of a ripoff that was).
I am wanting to open some ports for external access but obviously knowing my external address that is static would be a benefit.

fixed ip (static ip) are a purchased item for a block of 8 ip addresses, you cant just buy 1 ip. the assigned ip address to the modem is dynamic which can change at any time, however my ip hasnt changed in 9 years and anything ive done its still assigned the same ip

Thanks, I thought as much as mine hasnt changed in 2 years. I'm not sure a block of 8 is needed or worth the cost.
