Hi @vSGhost, we understand how important it is to have a stable internet connection. We'd be glad to assist!

The number of devices you connect to Wi-Fi, how you use them, their age and type, and Wi-Fi signal strength all can affect speed.

Here are steps to improve your AT&T internet stability:

  1. You can try restarting your router to clear the cache.
  2. You can also use an Ethernet cable or install 1-2 Wi-Fi range extenders to boost your AT&T Internet strength.

In addition, you may also check the modem environment by

  • Moving your gateway if it's in an enclosed space like a drawer or cabinet. Also, keep it away from possible sources of interference like routers, microwaves, and cordless phones. For the best internet experience, the modem should be at least 3-4 feet away from electronics. Electronics can emit interference that can slow down speeds and decrease Wi-Fi range.
  • Make sure your drivers, browser, and antivirus software are up to date

If this is a Wi-Fi only problem, use this article to check your modem environment. There may be something interfering with the Wi-Fi signal. Using Smart Home Manager and choosing “Scan for Better Wi-Fi” will also scan for a signal in your area that’s not congested.

Due to the nature of your concern, let's go ahead and move this conversation into a direct message. This way we can run some tests on our end to determine the cause for your concern. Be on the lookout for a chat notification in the upper right-hand portion of the page, next to the bell icon.

We look forward to connect with you!
