Success! Problem resolved. Internet access available - BUT IT’S NOT!! HELP
We had a tornado blow through on January 12th. We lost power, cell service and internet. Power and internet came back on the night of the 13th and we had power and internet all day on the 14th. Then on the 15th, the internet went back out and it’s been out ever since. They keep saying there is an outage in the area, but no one has seen AT&T trucks out, nothing is being repaired or worked on. Lots of us have reported it to the utility commission and have had the President’s office call, but then nothing. We buy our internet from DSL Extreme, who I love, but this time, they can’t do anything because they are just a re-seller of AT&T. So they don’t actually work on the lines or anything. So I can’t even call AT&T and complain as I don’t have an AT&T account. It’s so frustrating!! No internet is hard, especially when I work from home. But it’s just like they’ve written us off out here. We have FEMA on the ground, all other utilities have been great. We had cell towers down that have been replaced. But AT&T can’t get out here and fix the lines! If we had choices, we wouldn’t have this sorry service. And what’s worse, it’s just the lousy 6mg DSL when everyone else is on fiber. But they won’t run it down our road.
