  Samsung Smart TV/Bluray Connection Issue

What to do if you are not connecting to the internet.
Samsung devices (Smart TV, CCTV, Bluray) not connecting to the Internet via Wireless Connection. The devices recognize the customer's SSID and the correct password are save, however, the device is still not connecting to the Internet.

Error Message: You are not connected to the internet.

  Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Establish a wireless connection in the Samsung Device
  2. Make sure wireless channel of modem is not channel 1 or 11 or disabled
  3. Go to the Samsung device “IP Settings” as shown below.

  4. Select IP Mode to “Auto”
  5. Change the DNS Mode to “ Manual” and use either of these DNS servers:
    208.67.222.222
    8.8.8.8
    4.2.2.1
    69.42.56.54
  6. Click “Ok” and confirm connection
  7. Never change the value of the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway. IP Mode should always be “Auto”

I am trying to connect a Samsung Smart TV with a wired LAN CAT 6 Ethernet cable. My desktop PC is connected with an ethernet cable on line 1. It is working [I have internet access]. The smart TV is connected on line 2 with the ethernet cable. It is not working. The TV says there is no connection. I have tried everything I can find to troubleshoot and I still have no internet connection. The Smart TV internet connection was working [wirelessly] previously when TV was in different location. When I set up the TV in a new location [now only 5 feet from the router], the internet connection is not working either with WiFi or the direct connection with ethernet cable. Very frustrating.
