How can I get one of those Airties? Will ATT provide me with one since their equipment won’t cover everything? 

The Motorola adapters should have worked.  Did you try it in conjunction with the Netgear?  I'd probably try it just with a wired computer to test the connection and if that works then move to add the Netgear, putting it into Access Point mode.

I'd really suggest avoiding the AirTies.  AT&T will be happy to lease you one for $7 a month (you can actually get up to three and still pay just $7) but they won't have nearly the coverage that the Netgear has and they seem to be pretty flaky at times.

You should be able to purchase the wifi extender outright. If you go to Order One Online at the top of the article, located below. AT&T isn't offering free wifi extenders at this time.

That's because AT&T stopped selling the Airties many months ago.

Thanks For the advice, I tried the Motorola adapter with and without the netgear router it just wouldn’t connect to the internet and the 2 times it seemed i was connected I ran a speed test to see if anything was working and it was less .56 down and .6 or .7 up. I tried the router in bridge mode and AP mode connected to the adapter which is how I was hoping to use it. I would do anything to use the netgear router because it works so well. Would I be able to use the Netgear router plugged into the Airtie in bridge or AP mode? I basically have 120 feet between my furthest device and my ATT router with a few thing walls so that device has 1 bar or no bars constantly. At around 85 feet I wanted to use that netgear router to extend the wifi signal and allow me to connect some devices to the LAN ports on that router in that room. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated I’ll try anything. 

I would not recommend using the AirTies that way (well, or in any way). 

The best solution is the Netgear and an Ethernet cable.  Attic, crawl space, basement?  Heck, if that were my house and those weren't an option I might even be considering poking a hole in a wall, running Ethernet under the eaves and then poke a hole in the wall where you want the Netgear.

I know some people just really want to avoid poking holes in walls so I understand if you reject that notion.

There are much better wifi extenders than the AirTies but of course the better ones are at least $100 and often much more.

Any of the ways we've discussed have the ability to do that if you set it up that way.  The advantage of wiring the Netgear as an AP is that you'll get the same wifi speeds anywhere in the house. 

Extenders that aren't wired will cut your wifi speed, possibly significantly.  Now, if you're on a gigabit plan then that speed drop will still leave you with plenty of bandwidth for most activities.  But if you're down on the lower speed tiers then that's something to consider.
