Outage In My Area Since Tuesday
My internet went out at 11:40am on Tuesday due to an outage in my area. It's now Friday around 9:15pm and I still have no internet. I work from home so I've had to waste sick days since I cannot do my job. How can I get an ETA on when the outage will be fixed, and will AT&T compensate me for this huge inconvenience? I live in zip code 92124 and it seems to only be impacting a 5 mile radius.

Your only compensation will be for the days missed around 3 dollars per day

Mine went out Thursday in Temple TX and was still out when I called ATT at noon Saturday at (800) 288 2020. I got rerouted to another phone number in another country with a rep that didn't really appear to know anything much. Most of the call was me trying to verify my identity for some stupid reason. I had to give him my account number and last bill amount, and then he just told me service was out "in my area". He kept apologizing at length, no ETA. I finally asked what the extent of the outage was, and he gave me the name of some town I never heard of, Cheney City. The closest Cheney I can find is in KS.
Last night around 10:30 I tried resetting my modem just for fun. My service was back. Now I wonder if it was already back when I was talking to the ATT rep on the phone and I would have had internet yesterday if I'd just reset my modem.
