Looking for some sort of parental controls thru the 3801 gateway

I recently was able to upgrade from the 3800 to the 3801 by calling support and asking for the newer device. Primary driver was the information below that came from the 3801.pdf on the 2wire site.

 

Has anybody been able to find anything like this in the 3801 setup? To me it looks like I have the exact same config options as with the 3800.

Unfortunately, the firmware in the 2Wire units that are used for AT&T U-Verse service is proprietary, altered firmware as specified by AT&T. AT&T has removed some features that were present in the stock factory firmware provided by 2Wire. The parental controls you see in the manual are one of those features.

If you need a router that has parental controls, you should purchase a 3rd-party home router with these features from one of the popular consumer brands (Linksys/Cisco, D-Link, TrendNet, TP Link, NetGear, etc.) and then set up a router-behind-router setup as described here:
