Is there a way I can use my Netgear router for wifi?

Is there a way I can use my Netgear router for wifi instead of the AT&T.  If so what is the best set up

Regardless of whether you have fiber service or not, you can’t replace the ATT provided router. You can use a different router behind it but not replace it.

If you have the AT&T gateway for their fiber service you can place the gateway in pass through mode (similar to bridge mode) and have your Netgear router handle all of the router duties.
