How to setup two networks using the Arris BGW210-700
I would like to setup a another network that my secondary router would be connected to. I understand that support would be limited to the Arris modem/router which is ok. I should be able to configure the secondary router on my own. I've looked through a lot of documentation not to mention videos, however the Arris UI makes it somewhat difficult for me to find the necessary settings that need adjusting. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Follow the instructions below for ip passthrough for Motorola. Arris bought Motorola.

you can also search ip passthrough to find more recent instruction.

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify, IP passthrough will allow both the AIO modem and secondary router to work, correct? The secondary router will need a WAN IP that doesn't conflict with the AIO's private LAN IP i I understand correctly.

Your secondary router will have the same wan ip as the gateway. After you restart the other router, it should be on a different lab ip. 192.168.50.1 in my case. Devices connected via Ethernet to the gateway and router would be on different networks. I presume you are connecting a wireless router. Or a wired router to act as a firewall?

I am connecting a wireless router in this case. Your other router automatically assigned an LAN IP or did you create one from a. pool?

My router assigned a lan ip. DON’T use hometech. You can set this up yourself.

Definitely a networking noob, but that's my plan. I will steer clear of hometech. Worst case if my config goes south is to do a reset and start over. Thanks very much for providing guidance.
