OK, what poor knowledge. I have been trying to connect ROKU for a week. Talked to ROKU, and ATT several times. Many times.
The Roku only worked at night.
I finally checked settings myself. The passwords for 2.4 ghz and 5.0 ghz were different. I changed the 2.4 password to same as 5.0 password and works fine.
My guess is home inet drops to 2.4 at some point in evening.
Why Tech set up 2 different passwords is beyond me, and apparently.

this gobbledegook is USELESS;
i’m looking for a way to add an IP address for my wired internet-capable DVD player;
the network sees sees the device but will not load up an IP address for it;
yes, i’ve disconnected all the cables and done a reboot;
the setup did work at one time, create an IP addresss automatically;
