Arris BGW-210 and choppy Zoom connection

Hi- I have pretty high speed internet, but my Zoom connection seems to be hit or miss and I need it for work. I have a wi-fi extender but it does not seem to help unless I keep it plugged into the Arris. Should I get a router to help with the choppy wifi? It is mostly with Zoom where is is a problem.

Thanks!

Hey @arielwinger,

We'd be happy to help with your inquiry on Zoom connection. Have you tried using Zoom on a different device? Was there still connection still choppy? How far is your Wi-Fi extender from the gateway?

Here are a few things you can try; how to maximize your home Wi-Fi network, slow browse & website issues, optimize your internet speeds.

Let us know if this helps.

Hi- I have tried everything- increased speed, moved modem/router, and got a wifi extender. My smart manager says my wifi is strong, and I only have trouble on Zoom, but I am on Zoom all the time now! I'm going to try an ethernet cable to see if that helps, but that defeats the purpose of wifi, yes? I've heard some people get another or additional router and do a "by pass"- would that help? Thanks!

I don't have the answer but we are having this EXACT same problem - internet connection is fine, passes all tests, but wireless cuts out on Zoom -- so hoping others have ideas!

I am having the same issue and am about ready to go back to cable.  It's happening on wifi and hard wired connection. AT&T, please provide a solution asap!
