3801HGV Wireless Problem
Is it just me that has constant problems keeping wifi on with the Pace 3801HGV or am I just having bad luck? My previous 3801 wifi was constantly going up and down so on my last installer visit I had him change it out for another gateway. Now this one is doing the same thing.
Last night the wifi was off and I noticed the wireless light was off also. Pulling up the webpage, I saw that wifi was still enabled. After turing it on and off and rebooting the gateway, the light would come on momentarily and then go out again. Eventually after 10 minutes or so it came on for good. This is the 2nd or 3rd time it's gone in and out in since the new gateway was installed. It seems like nothing I do gets the light back on until it decides it's time to allow me more wifi.

Hi rearnold864,
I'm sorry about the difficulties you are having with your gateway. On the 2Wire 3801 HGV-B the Wireless LED is off until a device connects to your wireless network. If the LED light is solid green it indicates a device has established a connection with the gateway. If the LED is flickering green it indicates LAN traffic is present. If you are having trouble connecting to your wireless network I recommend visiting How to Minimize Wireless Interference this offers some great tips to connect to your wireless network. If you continue to have trouble with your wireless connection please send me your account number along with some contact details to ATTU-verseCare and I will be glad to help you restore your connection.

You may want to call and let them run a diagnostic from their end sometimes not always they can confirm a failure and expedite a new unit.
