Unable to Connect Ring Doorbell or Ring Stick Up Cam

Has anyone successfully connected their Ring devicecs to the AT&T All-Fi Hub? I found this article that identified the ports required, but am unable to configure the AT&T All-Fi Hub and there is no email address for tech support.

Hi Irene,

AT&T tech support was involved and we were troubleshooting for several hours. There is no known workaround for this issue and my service was cancelled the same day it started. The AT&T All-Fi Hub is not compatible with Ring devices.

Hello @glenpropertiesllc, we're glad to help get your Ring devices reconnected.

Since the resets you've tried to haven't worked we can recommend some other steps:

  • Try reconnecting the devices to the network via the Ring app. You can find the steps on Ring's Website.
  • Check for interference from other devices near your AT&T Gateway. Some electronics and speakers can interfere with wireless signals if they are too close.

If the above doesn't help, please let us know a few more details:

  • What model of AT&T Gateway do you have?
  • Are you using any Wi-Fi extenders?
  • Are any other devices having trouble connecting?

If you need help with anything else, just let us know.

Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.

I am also having problems connecting my Ring doorbell to the ATT Internet Air device.  I tried moving the router right next to the Ring device and no luck.  I also set up the guest network that runs on 2.4 and that did not work.  Everything else hooked up to new network fine but cannot get the Ring to connect.  This is very frustrating as a safety/security issue so do not want to disable ring.  For now I have the DSL line running in tandem and not sure when that will be disabled by ATT.  PLEASE HELP.

What model of Ring do you have?   Older versions don't support WIFI 6, I believe you need Ring version 3.   Try setting up guest WIFI and putting the doorbell on it, that uses 2.4 GHz WIFI instead of 5 GHz WIFI.

Hi John - I believe I had a Ring 2.  I did try connecting on the guest network but that did not help.  I figured it was not worth anymore headache (I messed with it for at least a couple of hours) so just bought an Arlo doorbell which connected immediately.  The newer version of Ring would have most likely connected easily but Arlo was on sale and got very good ratings.

I am happy with the increased performance of the Internet Air home network so just a shame that folks including me are having connectivity issues with Ring.  Everything else in my house including printers connected fine.  I would advise ATT to provide more instructions with the equipment as far as what will happen with the DSL account and how to return the old equipment.  I also ordered the extender which was unnecessary so returned that also.  Most households would not need one as I live in a pretty average 2 story house and network strong all over.

I feel your pain because I also had the same thing happen because I had an older Ring doorbell but bit the bullet an got a Ring 3 which is working good with Internet Air.  Now if the Live TV streaming issue can get fixed I'll be happy.
