Devices interpret wrong location
I recently switched from ATT DSL to ATT internet air (fixed wireless). Problem is that my smart devices (google/nest assistants, smart TVs, etc) all interpret the wrong location resulting in content not being available such as local news, ads, and sports. I'm assuming it's getting a public IP from somewhere other that my physical region. Is there a fix for this other than a VPN?

Your not getting a public IP as the service is CGNAT, you receive a private IP from a pool of IP addresses from the device upstream that has the public address.
Both ATT Fixed Wireless released 2017 and ATT AIR released spring 2023 are CGNAT service.

This is a logical reason for the problem. Other than a VPN, what could be a solution?

This is the second post on the 1st page here about this kind of problem.
Makes me nervous to give Air a try since we use YouTube TV. I don't want to have that messing up all the time because it thinks I'm suddenly in a dif city or state.

App based stuff like youtube tv allow you to manually change the location. The stuff that really gets impacted are the smart devices like nest mini
