Tip for AT&T to improve their customer service during an outage - 5 days and counting..
My current internet outage is on day 5 in Coral Springs, Florida. There is a Target down the street that was also out, but they restored their service in a day. If you're a residential account, no such luck. Here's the tip. Since so many of us work from home and these outages can put our livelihoods at stake, how about some meaningful updates instead of the generic, "we're working hard to get it fixed in 24 hours"? By day 3, it becomes apparent that's a scam and just a stall tactic. We can handle the truth. Give us accurate ETA's so we can plan accordingly. The Text updates are useless. I signed up on outage day 1 and 5 days later have not received a thing. If you really want to do the right thing, put everybody who's affected by the outage in a hotel with internet access. Maybe if it costs you more you'll show a bit more concern.
I'll be checking out Earthlink tomorrow and if it's a viable choice, I'll be ending my relationship with AT&T.

We can check on the status of the outage in your area, pvb.
We'll send you a Direct Message to gather your information. There will be a chat icon in the upper right corner of the Forum page once the message has been sent.
