question about bills
We suspended our AT&T account in early January, but we're still getting bills, with no explanation about what the bill is for. Today I tried to call the regular number (800-288-2020) to inquire about this, but couldn't get through the automated phone setup. I was told I had to pay $7 for an allegedly overdue fee before I could talk to an agent. When I tried to make a credit card payment, the voice said " so you're making a payment of zero dollars?," which made no sense at all. I couldn't get past this crazy impass. So how do I get through to talk to an actual human about my questions?

Suspension is $7 per month per service with minimum 2 months and max of 9 months per the ATT / Uverse Terms Of Service. May want to check the consumer fee schedule.
In my experience this is more for “snow birds”, those that spent part of the year in one area of the country and remainder in a different part.
