Massive Internet Usage for no good reason!
Hello,
I have seen other posts with not much info or help from AT&T, but maybe I missed something. I have seen an incredible increase in my home internet usage with no real or apparent reason why?! Maybe I have a tab or two open on my phone, but it is just me and my boy. My boy is a dog, so unless Gary has learned to shop on Chewy I cannot explain why this has happened and caused my plan to exceed it's limit?!
Please help! THank you!

Perhaps it has taken them this long to quit zero-rating DIRECTV stream traffic?

I wasn't aware that was a thing.

Well, now that you mention it, that was only supposed to be a thing for Wireless; since wired customers who have a TV package get unlimited there's no real need for them to zero-rate the wired traffic. Of course California decided zero-rating was bad.

Fix it att. Same problem same time frame. Caused me to go over on usage and when I went to add usage it removed a promo from my account that cs will not replace. Now my bill has quadrupled along with my usage.. Also noticed the month it started my allowance increased from 1tb to 1.5tb. Looks related to me. Do you have a meaningless excuse for this or is it just a coincidence. I'll be spending my weekend filing complaints with every consumer protection agency that will let me since your cs is carefree and worthless. I'm not paying for your 2022 losses, do a better job!!!

Let me add my horrible chart to the mix. I’ve never come close to exceeding my limit and now I’m over with ten days to go!! I do everything the exact same and I was stunned to get that first overage email. Unbelievable!!

@Minime313 Log into your account at att.com and go to THIS page. You'll be able to see your usage by day, going back for at least few months. Can you see exactly when the big bump began? Was it right around the beginning of a new billing period? Are you seeing roughly double usage over your average from previous months?

ChrisZ, we are not having trouble with the report. We all know how to use it. The problem is what the report is telling us. It is showing a drastic increase in data usage starting in the November time frame for all of us. We are curious as to why this happened at the same time AT&T raised our data limits. I for one would like to know why the limits were increased. I have the belief that AT&T realized that our usage numbers were going to increase for some unknown (to us) reason, so AT&T tried to compensate by increasing our limits. The real problem is AT&T didn't go far enough.
I would be happy to DM with you about this to see if there is a resolution we can all live with.
