To answer your question, yes you will be able to keep your AT&T account if you cancel your AT&T service it's associated with. You can check here for more information on how to keep your free email account. 

We do have some helpful tips that we recommend: 

• Security Questions - when you cancel your services, you no longer have the ability to reset your email at att.com. It is highly recommended you set up security questions before you cancel - it makes it easier to reset passwords if you forget it!
• Merged Email Addresses - If your Yahoo email is tied to your att.net email, you do have the option to unmerge it. The att.net email is deleted when you unmerge the account. You must process the request within 30 days of cancellation.
• Tie your email to your mobile account - this will help with password resets in the future.

Hi, I am a current internet customer of ATT. My main email account has a bellsouth.net address. I created bellsouth.net

sub-email address from my main email account. If I am no longer an ATT customer for the internet, can I keep my sub-email address created from main email address in addition to the mail email address? Thank you for your help.
