Internet Down Christmas Eve through DEC262022!
Internet down in the area starting at 10:30 pm 12/24/2022. AT&T service provides a low level of service that still has not remedied the problem. The Philippines and Indonesian customer service was of no help, but had some incredible fake southern accents. Give it to another billion company that uses “It’s Christmas” as an excuse why they can’t solve a problem on the 21st century. Their Corporate office probably uses Spectrum.

Hey Ottopylot
We appreciate your “expert”-ise. Another award winner holding hands with AT&T and trying to rub our backs while our network genitals are kicked. “Weather-related”? Who cares? When you buy from a company that operates with a limitless amount of capital, emergency management and proactive solutions are kind of expected. Why don’t you call India or Indonesia to support your vague, patronizing inquiries.
Update: Internet expected to be down for the next 24-48 hours. Thanks AT&T. Like you care. You probably use Spectrum.

@SanDiegoCongestion FWIW, I do not have AT&T as an internet provider, only cellular. My comment was only a possible suggestion for what was happening elsewhere. San Diego? Yeah, it's probably not weather-related cause you folks only have about one type of weather for most of the year (me being a born and raised Californian).
It also would be advisable for you to keep your racist comments off of the board and just complain about AT&T Support in generic terms. Might get you some better advice.
I wish AT&T could just snap its fingers and get yours, and everyone else's internet back up and running, but until they pull their resources out, and call some folks in from their holiday break, all you can do is sit tight and start looking around for another provider. Just keep documenting your complaint issues and once service is back up and running, file a complaint with the BBB. That will get you a response from the Office of the President and hopefully they can address your issue of lost service and compensation for the down time.
We are just customers like yourself, with the occasional drop in post by ATTHelp.

O no @Ottopylot
There is no racism. You understand outsourcing is in other countries, right? Because a person acknowledges that other countries are hired by gigantic corporations to listen to the American plight does not qualify for racism. Calm it down. I’m trying to enjoy this nice weather outside in SD, while complaining about AT&T’s lack of concern for its customers especially during the holidays.
Update: Internet down and forecasted to be down for 24-48 hours. AT&T will probably blame the snow in New York for this issue on the West coast.
Happy New Year!

@SanDiegoCongestion Unless I missed it in all the rant, I don't see where you tell us if you've done any of the online troubleshooting, checked the outage report or reported this to customer service, also don't know what lights you have on the modem, if any. We on this board are customers, not AT&T support, so we can't report it for you or troubleshoot it for you.

@SanDiegoCongestion I fully understand that Support by a lot of companies is outsourced overseas. It just serves no purpose to point out nationalities because that does make you sound a bit racist. I would suggest you wait until service is restored, file your complaint with the BBB, wait for your account to be credited, then cancel your service and find another provider.
Other than following the suggestions by @spoom2 there is very little that can be done here.
