Internet Down Christmas Eve through DEC262022!

Internet down in the area starting at 10:30 pm 12/24/2022. AT&T service provides a low level of service that still has not remedied the problem. The Philippines and Indonesian customer service was of no help, but had some incredible fake southern accents. Give it to another billion company that uses “It’s Christmas” as an excuse why they can’t solve a problem on the 21st century. Their Corporate office probably uses Spectrum.

Update: Internet is forecasted to be down for the next 24 to 48 hours. Requested refund or reimbursement for the lack of service and have been awarded $6.41 to my next bill. Don’t hurt yourselves AT&T. Wouldn’t want to make it to obvious that you don’t have to care and that you actually don’t care about your customers. Still on hold with whatever outsourced company. I think they are tying to find a supervisor in their country that can speak English.

Well 6.41 times 30 means your monthly bill is around 190.00, you need to wait until service is restored than request a refund for the days out, they aren't going to reimburse you more than the service cost.

Hey Sandiegocongestion. Thanks for reaching out to us about the service interruption you're experiencing with your internet service, and we understand your frustration.

We won't be able to provide a time without service credit until your service is back working correctly, so we're able to calculate amount of time it was out. You can check the status of your service interruption, so you can stay up to date on how long it should last.

Please reach back out if you have any further questions. Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.

Good job on the math, Spoom2. Not clear of your bias or patriotic support of AT&T. If you’re suggesting I should hope for month long outage that results in a $190.00 refund, then cool. You’re simple pragmatism tells me you love AT&T. 2021 Achiever (Edited per community guidelines) sound.

I was going by your post assuming that was one day. Your reading comprehension isn't real good as I also stated you needed to wait until service was restored to request a refund for the outage time. Same thing @ATTHelp told you. Might want to read a few more of my post on my feeling towards AT&T.

For someone who is complaining about support staff of Asian decent, the OP sure seems to have a hard time understanding basic concepts in English.

I'm from huber heights, ohio and experiencing the same issues.  My fiance works remotely home and needs internet to do her job.  We are now 4 days without internet and it is costing me more than what AT&T can credit back. I'm in small veteran community and sharing my experience with AT&T.  Don't get AT&T as provider if you want to go 4 days without internet through the holidays.

@Mbrooks1219 posting your issue once is enough, more than that is considered spamming and is not allowed on the forums. You are not alone in your feelings for the lack of customer service in this area.

Could these all be weather-related outages? In which case it could take awhile to isolate and allocate resources to fix?

@OttoPylot I wouldn't doubt it with the high winds and ice, but there's no way to know for sure. There were power outages also according to the news feeds. The ones that have posted towns/cities or zip codes seem to be in the northern Indiana and Ohio areas so far. Of course, that wouldn't include this one in San Diego.
