How to change the primary member ID email?

I recently sold my business. The new owner called AT&T and took over my account however, he received a new account number. When I logo onto ATT.com it shows my canceled account, my Direct TV account and his account for internet and phone service at work and it also has my email as his primary member ID. He did not take over my email. I've called about this and att said he would have to call to remove it. My question is why would his account be on my page? I should be able to remove it. I'm not sure if he has access to my email? Please help me to resolve this issue!

We're here to help with your account concerns, @lovestlouis!

When it comes to changing the email associated with an account, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Go to your myAT&T Profile. Sign in, if asked.
  2. Scroll to Sign-in info and choose Edit for your email.
  3. Follow the prompts to make your updates.
  4. Check your email inbox to verify your email address. Don't see an email? Make sure you check your spam or junk folder.

However, if your email is set at the Member ID on the account, that can not be changed.

Let us know if this helpful for your situation!
