Adding another port to my current internet service

I have the AT&T Internet 12 plan. I would like to have a second ethernet port installed in my home. This would be for a personal computer that would be plugged directly into the ethernet port rather than going through the wireless gateway router. This computer is on the other side of the house from the router, so I cannot plug it into the ethernet port on the back of the router. Would this be an option to have a second ethernet port installed using my current plan?

not immediately techs are skeleton crew and adding a Jack is not considered essential. Best to call Best Buy or look up a low voltage contractor in your area

Would be much cheaper & quicker to consider using a USB Wireless adapter for your computer. Just plug into an open USB slot, let the drivers load and then connect to your home's wifi network.
