Why do you not want our business??

I have been looking forward to changing to Att fiber since my brothers neighborhood had the lines ran a year ago and spoke well of the service. About 3 months ago the wires were ran at my house and I have checked online multiple time to try to sign up, your website incorrectly shows it is not available. I figured the lines weren't connected yet even though I received a mailer saying the service was available, then about 2 weeks ago my neighbor had a att truck at his house getting the service installed, I could not believe it. I even went to the installing tech and asked if the service was in fact available which he confirmed it was and that he was putting it in for my neighbor. That afternoon I checked online again, still not available.  I know per your tech the service is available but for some reason your company does not want to provide to my neighborhood. I've started to ask why I want to change to you guys when you wont even send a tech to confirm we can have a service you must have spent tens of thousands to have ran.

Hey @kdreispiel, we are happy to hear that you are thinking of changing to our AT&T Fiber Internet service.

There can be different reasons as to why your address may not be showing as currently available.

  • If your house was just built, there is a chance line or equipment has not been set up. Unfortunately adding these things does not happen overnight and takes anywhere from a few weeks to years.
  • There is a lot that goes into servicing an area, like permits requests, engineers creating blueprints, adding the lines, and other equipment. There is a lot that goes into it so you can begin to understand why it may not be available right away.
  • There are many crews digging lines, placing equipment, and working on the backend to get service up for many neighborhoods. Unfortunately, there is only so much manpower available. If it was a matter of yes or no, we would rather say yes than tell you it is not ready.
