Service Available Yesterday - Not Today per ATT Website
Yesterday I wanted to order ATT Fiber in Santa Cruz, CA. I went to website, checked availability, and proceeded through the order process. Near the end, I cancelled because I could not get accurate information on taxes and fees on top of base rate. Got that info from a neighbor and went back today to order. Had to re-check availability - Today, NO AVAILABLE SERVICE for my address.
What gives - I know service is available and I can see the ATT Fiber cable on the pole from my front window.
Can't get pass this point and need to speak with someone who can sort this out.

You may need to order thru a person, lose some reward as cannot order online.
Or request an address validation be opened, given a case number with likely ability to order in 4 to 6 weeks

Thanks. Guess I will call the 800 number and lose the online ordering benefit cause I certainly don’t want to wait 4-6 weeks.

Update 11/11/2022 - so I spoke with an ATT sales person in the Watsonville, CA office (he initiated contact by text) who referred me to his supervisor (because the sales guy was off for a couple of days.) The supervisor got me an immediate appointment and the fiber was dropped to my house within a day. Yay!
However my installation was not completed because I needed the fiber routed across my house (from the drop location) into my home office. ATT installer doesn't do this so I spent about 10 days trying to find a contractor/handyman who would come over and route the fiber cable to its final destination. Not dissing the installer - I have a two story house with a tile roof ...
The contractor should start work tomorrow and be finished by Sunday 11/14/22. Then I'll call to complete the installation. (PS - the ATT text message bots are urging me daily to schedule an appointment to finish the install - I even got a live person to whom I explained the situation, but she was not able to stop the bots.) But still, this is much better than a long dark silence.
