Get mail for ATT Fiber but shows no availability when I try to sign up

We get mail from AT&T, addressed to our specific address, advertising AT&T fiber, but when I go to the website to sign up, all it offers is 10 mbps internet? What am I missing?

Your missing the fact that AT&T Marketing does a horrible job of targeting new customers.  Apparently they flood a zip code with these mailings even though only a portion of the zip code actually has fiber available.

OR, Marketing and Engineering didn't communicate and the infrastructure for fiber at your address is not ready (lots and lots of equipment shortages and installer shortages right now) but that tiny detail never makes it to Marketing.

Given the fact that 10Mbps is your max offering I'm thinking your issue is the former.

Check your neighbors addresses for what they can order.... may be a glitch in the data base or as stated fiber in area refers to zip code not specific address.

MY zip code is 90% ATT and 10% CenturyLink... with over 14,800 total residential addresses. ATT would have about 13,000 addresses. By my count about 5000 of those is fiber with a large portion being apartment / condo complexes. The single family housing fiber is either new construction since 2015 or older smaller lots with aerial (pole) connections. The vast majority (8000)  is still Uverse FTTN (25-100 internet) or ADSL2+ (18 or less).

NOTE my observations for older family fiber is around major points such as colleges, high schools, hospital,  or subdivision around large rental complexes.

Thanks @tonydi and @mythoughts! Appreciate the responses. I checked the my neighbors addresses and it looks like it is not yet available. It seems to be a disconnect between marketing and reality. 😊
