Fiber upgrade
I’m getting notices about upgrading to fiber at no additional costs. Is this true or will there be a charge after a period of time?

There is no installation charge to upgrade to fiber internet, however depending on which fiber speed tier you upgrade to will likely change your monthly billing as there are (6) different different speed tiers available for XSGPON customers and (4) for GPON customers.

The other speed tier not listed above is for ACCESS customers which requires a house member to be on SNAP (food stamp) program.

Access from AT&T provides low-cost internet service with plans up to $30 per month and speeds up to 100Mbps for qualified households. There is no annual contract, no deposit, no installation fee, no equipment fee, and includes in-home Wi-Fi access and unlimited internet data on select plans.1 Go to att.com/accessto learn more.

AT&T Sales people will say no additional monthly cost. Make sure that before you end the call you know exactly what the monthly rate will be for your new service. If, once you get a bill, that isn't what you're getting, you may have to file a complaint to get what was promised.
You can check to see if the rate you're being offered is discounted or not by looking at the offers at https://att.com , log in (My AT&T > Sign in) and click MANAGE MY INTERNET and "Change plan"
