Completely Surrounded By AT&T Fiber Customers in Brookhaven
Hi,
I am currently one of the board members of my HOA. We are very interested in having AT&T Fiber within our community. I understand that having Fiber is based on multiple factors and so on, however, if you view the information I have provided, most of the infrastructure is already in place around us. We are currently surrounded by AT&T Fiber customers; they even have the ability to go up to the 5 Gbps plan. Our community consists of 55 townhomes. I believe our community did not have the opportunity because it's a gated community and there was probably no contact between the company and the HOA. I would at least love to engage in conversation about this to see if we can form a relationship with AT&T.
If you take a look at the map below, I outlined a few things. The Fiber lines are traveling by pole, which is on the same street side as our neighborhood. The places on both sides of us have AT&T Fiber, but to be honest, practically every home on this map has the Fiber connection. But also, where the AT&T Fiber Junction Box is located, which is right in front of our neighborhood. The infrastructure is already in place all around us, it's just a matter of getting it into the homes of our community.

We understand the desire to have the fastest available Internet speeds for your community, mragarg.
We recommend that you follow the process of requesting service for a multi-dwelling community. Scroll to the bottom of the page and fill out the form with your information. One of our experts will determine if your property is eligible for AT&T Fiber. If it is, someone will be in touch to discuss your options.
If you need help with anything else in the future, we'll be here.
Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.

Hi @ATTHelp , thank you for the quick reply! However, I filled it out months ago and have not received a response. My whole community is eager to have Fiber and get away from our current provider. It's been difficult considering how the city and our surroundings are customers but our community is not. I'm also hoping that as a HOA Board Member I can have a better conversation about this project for our community with a project manager than as a single resident.

Generally need a minimum of 60 addresses to qualify for fiber upgrade..
Edit...
By 2026 50%of hardwired addresses will have ATT Fiber (30+ million within 21 state footprint) and 50% will have same choices as before fiber deployment. Time will tell which side of the coin your addresses will be on.

Thank you for your response @my thoughts !
I guess we'll see what happens then. I'll still see if I can open up a line of communication to discuss it and see what will it take.
What I'm curious about is, there seems to be underground wiring and conduits already from the poles outside the community to the townhomes. It's for the AT&T DSL internet service. I'm curious to see if you know if they would repurpose those when installing fiber.
