Recently installed AT&T Fiber
Hi,
I recently got AT&T Fiber installed and after the installation tech. left, I saw that the fiber optic cable is running over the ground from the junction box next in my front yard to my house. I am afraid that this cable is exposed and runs the risk of being mowed over since it is going over my grass in the front. I have reached out to AT&T installation support but the wait lines are super long. Who can help fix this, appreciate any direct numbers.
Thanks !

The tech would have created a buried service wire request at ATT Buried Hotline Center. This group works with local contractors that will perform the actual burial of the fiber.
Generally, this time of year will likely take 2 to 4 weeks. Once a contractor accepts the job, 811 has to be called for locate of other lines. Then the contractor can bury the line.
The tech should have explained this to you or family member before starting the work.
If the line gets cut you will have no service until a tech can be dispatched to place another line, this could be 3 to 5+ days without service.
Edit... once the appointment is set with local work group you will receive notification of the scheduled date, not time, could be within 8 am to 8 pm window.
