How to get fiber to my home

I live in the 75219 zip code. There is fiber everywhere around me and AT&T has a node in close proximity. How can I get fiber to my residence?

Can you receive any ATT hardwired internet at your address?

If yes, speed tier listed?

https://www.att.com/internet/

That zip code only has about 57% ATT coverage with either IPBB (Uverse rename ATT Internet) and Fiber (renamed from Uverse GigaPower), therefore concern if address receives ATT service.

https://broadbandnow.com/Texas/Dallas?zip=75219

If ATT service is available, what is speed tier for immediate addresses to left and right?

To receive ATT Fiber need to reside in a planned for, budget for, deployed neighborhood.

While ATT still has about 2+ years left to reach 5+ million addresses out of estimated 30+ million to receive fiber during 10 year buildout (2016 to end 2025). The 30+ million represents 50% of all addresses within 100+ markets in 21 states…. Meaning 50% of hardwired addresses covered will not have direct fiber FTTP by start 2026.

Options for ATT Fiber are wait for an IF / WHEN moment in time that has no guarantee will occur, or be pro active in relocating to where desired service is available.

The zip code is listed as having population over 22,000 and about 12,400 addresses. At 57% hardwired means about 7,100 addresses can receive some form of ATT internet and 5,300 cannot.

Some MDUs that can… from https://www.att.com/att/multifamily-property/locator/

I had ATT Uverse before. Switched to spectrum because could only get up to 55mb.  When I go to BroadbandNow website, the interactive map shows fiber all around me on 3 sides (just not my block). But, I watched ATT and others running fiber on my block. It just doesn’t make sense. I’m wondering if is incorrect in the database. It seems mind-boggling that it wouldn’t be. I live in an older built townhome. Is there any way I can contact engineering and have them come do a site survey/visual inspection to discuss?

I appreciate your kindness and help!

Use the availability tool and see if anyone on your street has fiber. Check addresses on your right and left. How many units in the town home? Do you have any Att service available?

Are you around the Douglas Avenue and Rawlings Street area?

That appears to be a large complex with several larger buildings…

If yes, the complex owner or HOA needs to request fiber upgrade evaluation, will take some time if approved.

Generally need at least 60 addresses in the complex.

I’m on Hood St. Between Brown and Routh. There is a lot of new construction around me as well.

And FYI: at the NW corner of Hood and Routh, a new development of condos/townhomes are being constructed now. And directly across Hood St down to Fairmont, the same developer is building more  condos/townhomes. Seems like they would have planned for telecom infrastructure ?
as I said before: I’ve seen them lay fiber directly in front of my house. Plus across the alley from our units, a developer acquired all their f the units at 3515 Brown. That’s half a city block. I imagine those units will be torn down relatively soon.

If I’m not mistaken, the developer chooses what telecom infrastructure to install. They would have to tell Att or a cable isp to install and the developer would pay for the install as part of the development.
