FIBEROPTIC INSTALLATION IRRIGATION DAMAGES
HAS ANYONE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH SEDGWICK TO REPAY FOR FIBEROPTIC INSTALLATION DAMAGES?
ATT CONTRACTOR INSTALLED FIBEROPTIC LINES THROUGHOUT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD. IN THE PROCESS, AND SINCE MY HOME IS ON A CORNER, THEY RAN LINES AT 90 DEGREES IN MY YARD. AS A RESULT, THE CREW DUG 3 TO 4 HOLES IN MY YARD. DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS, THEY ALSO BROKE SEVERAL OF THE IRRIGATION LINES AND CUT IRRIGATION CONTROL WIRING.
I ORIGINALLY WAITED FOR THE WARRANTY CREW TO COME BACK TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE TO MY YARD, BUT NONE EVER SHOWED UP.
WHEN I TRIED TO TURN ON MY IRRIGATION AFTER THE WINTER, I WAS UNABLE TO GET IT TO OPERATE AT ALL. SINCE THIS IS A VERY DRY YEAR, AND I DID NOT SEE A RESTORATION TEAM INSIGHT, I CONTACTED MY IRRIGATION COMPANY TO MAKE THE REPAIRS. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, THE IRRIGATION COMPANY WAS VERY BUSY, AND IT TOOK ABOUT 5 WEEKS TO GET THEM TO GET TO ME. THE TECHNICIAN HAD TO WORK 2 FULL DAYS TO LOCATE ALL OF THE DAMAGES AND MAKE THE REPAIRS. THOSE COSTS WERE NORTH OF $1,500.
I WENT THROUGH THE MOTIONS OF STARTING OUT WITH ATT, WHO SENT ME TO SEDGWICK, WHO IN TURN NOTIFIED THE INSTALLERS WARRANTY TEAM.
WHEN I FINALLY GOT THE WARRANTY CREW FOR THE SUBCONTRACTOR, I WOULD ONLY REPLACE THE GRASS WHERE THEY COULD SEE WHERE THEY ACTUALLY DUG THE HOLES. THEY BALKED AT REPLACING THE REST OF THE DAMAGE TO MY GRASS. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET THEIR WARRANTY CONTRACTOR OR SEDGWICK TO ADDRESS THE COST OF THE IRRIGATION REPAIRS.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET AT&T'S ATTENTION TO REPAY THE DAMAGES?

Once a claim is turned over to Sedgwick, you have to deal with Sedgwick.
It's not unlike when you have a car accident. Once a claim is filed with the insurance companies, they take over.
File a complaint with the BBB against Sedgwick.

THANK YOU, I HAVE TAKEN YOUR ADVICE TO DIRECT THIS MATTER TO THE BBB. MAYBE THEY HAVE THE CLOUGH TO FORCE THEM TO COME TO THE TABLE AND DO THE RIGHT THING.

It turns out that the BBB will not intervene in property damage claims.

The AT&T fiber optic installers came to my home and did one day of work the left about 100 feet of fiber optic cable and a hole in my backyard. They came back twice to say they would finish that day and after an additional 2 days they are nowhere to be seen.
my 7 year old daughter plays in our backyard and it’s dangerous and she or someone else can get seriously hurt.
The lies and incompetence are absurd. Now I am left having to sever the cable and dispose of it somehow and fill the hole myself. Please help AT&T and your company has lost my family as customers and whomever we can share this terrible experience with permanently.

I noticed several years ago that AT&T's customer service had slid off the cliff. It was after they purchased Directv that I really noticed the shortcomings. It was as if someone new got into a customer service management position and a way to increase their bonus, they stopped answering the phone with competent people that understood what you were saying and had the knowledge and ability. Now, someone else invented a stupid telephone software approach of asking you what option you wanted and not understanding. Then when you got someone they lived in another country and they were hard to understand.
I can't remember how many companies have gone to this in an effort to keep their staff from being on the phone which I presume was to increase overall production. That person or company made a fortune leaving their clients holding the wrong end of the stick.
Shame on ATT for forgetting the people that made the company profitable and keeping long term customers happy.
