Fiber Availability- Allen, TX 75002
I am new to the community and have a few questions. (Note: I read over 100 posts but gave up that route)
I used to have fiber in Addison TX. I get marketing mail saying I can get fiber (from ATT not third party). BUT when I enter my address into the availability tool, it shows 50mbps internet and doesn’t give me the option to request to be notified when fiber will be available. Continuous loop to the same site that doesn’t show what all these posts say it’s supposed to.
Second, when I bought this house, I entered neighbors addresses into the tool and it said they had fiber. I spoke to elite care team and she said she would put in a work order. But i never got confirmation and when i called back the next rep had no idea what i was talking about. Help?
Lastly, is the only way to find fiber by scoping out the neighborhood and looking for all the various terminals, orange tags, and equipment? Does anyone have a link to find local terminal maps or addresses? Broadbandnow only gives me so much. I saw one post with a survey map showing neighborhood with lot eligibility Y/N. Where can i get that?!

woo hoo!! AT&T knocked on my door this morning that they would be blocking my driveway to install fiber and will be available next week!!!
thank you to the fiber expansion “powers-that-be”! And thx for answering all my questions!

Well that is great news but I would not expect to be able to order Fiber next week if they are just trenching this week.
Don't get me wrong the equipment sitting in your driveway is a great sign it normally takes more than an week or to after fiber is put in the ground.
Just keep checking at http://www.att.com/availability for your address, it should show available for Fiber as soon as the next 30-60 days.

I thought a week was aggressive. I’ll keep checking + I’m sure if ATT is doing this much work, they will be sending marketing offers to the residents as soon as it’s LIVE.
I’ll get to work on reviewing my spectrum contract for contract expiration & early termination.

Ola - jaAllen, I'm watching this thread with interest, and have been watching the rollout of the fibre on the poles up near Stacy Road and country club. Were you able to finally order - and how long was it after they trenched the neighborhood?

Love to answer my own post - come on interwebs. So Just started the plumbing for conduit in the front of Stacy Ridge estates. will post timing on running conduit in / pulling fiber as things progress.

Just FYI. I live in Allen near Celebration Park and from the first signs of fiber installation to my actually getting service was about two months.
