ETHERNET AND FIBER PLS HELP
So a couple months ago I moved into a townhouse and my mother got the fiber wifi. I have a PC and use a USB wifi adapter which i’ve learned over a couple years are not the best option for internet on my PC. I’m currently looking into ethernet and noticed that this home has ethernet ports in the walls of almost every room so I was thinking of using it. After consulting my mom she said that they might not work and may not be connected to our router. So I was wondering if anyone knows for sure that the fiber wifi is connected to the circuits in the house and will work with the ethernet ports that were here previously. Thank you!

All the Ethernet cables should meet somewhere in the house. Try looking in a laundry room, bedroom closet or utility room. If they have connectors on them you can try to figure out which cable goes to each room. You may need to hire an electrician to terminate, test and label the cables. Google or YouTube search how to setup a home network.

Glad to address your Ethernet inquiry, SUCHIM.
Since your home has AT&T Internet, you should be able to use the Ethernet ports throughout the house.
If you have any other questions about your Ethernet connection, let us know.

Ethernet is definitely a more stable option. You can always try to hookup the Ethernet and see if it works. If not it will need to be wired the the gateway.
