Wifi Gateway

Is it possible to get a one for one Wifi Router replacement?   I consistently have to reboot it, change channels, restart it, etc.    I would buy my own but I understand ATT does not allow this, sadly.   My issues happen regardless whether I am connected through Wifi or straight Ethernet cable.   I travel a lot and have no issues but as soon as I come home I have all kinds of miscellaneous problems.  This includes Vpn, App streaming, and others.  I really don't want to go through the typical protocols with unplugging it, rebooting it, trying different channels, etc.  I have done this 100's of times.

Can I just try a new Wifi Router please?
