Using my own Router
I have the Arris BGW210 modem provided by AT&T and I want to be able to connect my own router to see if I can get less ping when I play games because the other router I have is gaming specific so I would like to know if changing the router would help get less ping or I would have to talk to AT&T to get less ping somehow.

You can setup the BGW210 in passthrough mode and setup your personal router behind it.

A few questions.....
Are you using a PC or a console?
Are you wired to the BGW or wireless?
What's your normal ping on a speedtest, and what is it to your game server?
I don't think you'll see a difference with a router on IP Passthrough since everything still goes out onto the Internet through the BGW.
