Unable to transfer files from PC to Synology DS416 with new ATT fiber setup

Hi all - moved over to ATT fiber from xfinity. Prior to switch had my Synology DS416play NAS connected directly via Ethernet to xfinity router setup on the 2nd floor. No issues transferring files to/from PC via Wi-Fi to NAS. My PC is on the 1st floor connected via Wi-Fi. After switch to ATT however I’m unable to transfer files FROM my PC to the NAS. I can transfer from the NAS to my PC without an issue. The ATT setup is a bit different however since fiber is only run to the 1st floor. The installer was kind enough to ensure the built in Ethernet (it’s a new house) was working connecting the fiber setup on floor 1 to my gear on the 2nd floor. I’m unable to run backups to my NAS from the PC. I either get a windows error 0x8007003B or the process just hangs. I’m stumped. Any ideas? Sorry if this is a messy problem! Thanks!

Bring the NAS to the first floor and connect it directly to he AT&T gateway with a different Ethernet cable than it uses upstairs.  This eliminates the cabling from the gateway all the way to the NAS.  If it works fine then then next thing would be to put it back upstairs with the different cable you just tried.

If that works then you know it was the cable from the NAS to the wall.  If that doesn't work, then it's the cabling in the wall, the connectors at each wall plate or the connection to the gateway from the home wiring.

If it does the same thing with the NAS downstairs, what else is different now than what you had on Xfinity?  Are you using a VPN or different security software?
