Unable to Connect to Corporate VPN from Home (ATT Fiber)
Beginning 08/30, I have been experiencing issues with connecting to my corporate VPN from home. I worked extensively with our corporate networking team on 08/30. We are seeing no errors reported on either our corporate firewall or on my home desktop. Several other employees are experiencing the same issues and ALL have AT&T Fiber in common. We had all be just fine until 08/30 (I personally switched to AT&T fiber in May). Our network team feels pretty confident that this is an AT&T-centered issue as no other users are reporting issues and testing on other providers have had no issues. I have had no other issues with connecting to other sites at all. Has anyone heard of similar issues and been able to overcome them?
Thanks!

I am having possibly similar symptoms. I am losing packets anywhere from 15-45% to many sites including our vpn. Other sites work just fine no loss. Sometimes I can get vpn to connect (Palo Alto globalconnect) I called this morning and they are sending a technician, but I think they have a routing problem on their side.
It's going to be faster to switch providers than to get someone who understands what routing is on the ATT side.
psping -t www.att.com:80
Sent = 121, Received = 82, Lost = 39 (32% loss)
My issues also started two days ago.

We're here to help get you connected, @jmherston!
Since you are needing to gain access to your work VPN, we believe that the firewall settings on your AT&T Gateway are not letting you connect.
In this case, we suggest looking into using Port Forwarding. One of the uses for port forwarding is letting you remotely connect to devices, which is what you are wanting to do. To set it up, you will just need to select the type of AT&T Gateway you own using the dropdown menu, and then follow the instructions that are shown to you.
Let us know if this helps!

My coworker is one state away and his route to our gateway is very different.
The first one here shows timeouts at the handoff from ATT to Cogent. This is mine.
Now for my coworker who is also on ATT fiber in another location. No timeouts at the cogent transit. I would guess there is a route messed up somewhere causing it, but I'll never get to the right person to troubleshoot this.
I do have some sites that work perfectly and other's that dont. All of the ones that do not have this network handoff issue in common.

Donovan, I went to the link for Port Forwarding and my AT&T-supplied gateway model (BGW320) is not listed. I see a choice for BGW210 - can I use those instructions? Or do I need to be sent instructions specifically for this gateway model?

Hi, @jmherston.
You can use the same instructions for the BGW210 on your gateway.
If you need further assistance, let us know!

Also NE Ohio, Akron area. @edmcadams Did you contact support? The best they could do was to send a tech out to check my fiber. I tried to explain that some sites are fine.

Let's see if we can get your internet working better, @edmcadams!
If you haven't already, you may want to try troubleshooting using our Smart Home Manager App. You can use it to test Wi-Fi coverage, run speed tests, and troubleshoot your internet. Just scroll down to where it says Smart Home Manager features for instructions!
