Second 5Ghz Radio disabled on BGW 320-500 & 320-505?!
When i got this unit as replacement for the 210, I was thrilled to see it supported two different networks. Now you folks disabled the second one. Please revert this back to the 3 radio setup I need the three networks because i have one for legacy devices, one for newer and then one setup for my AX/wifi 6 devices. Please revert this immediately.
I am very unhappy when you make uneeded changes. If there is a way to revert this update and prevent future ones, let me know.

Welcome to att. Breaking things with firmware updates has happened in the past. Give it a little time. They may fix it or not.
Not being a smart a**. If having three bands is essential to you. Get a third party router. Remember, these combo modems/routers are designed for the 99% of customers that don’t care about all the functions.
All they care about is it works.

speaking of third party routers, im having trouble configuring one I have already to work with the 320.
I can get internet connectivity through it via a wired connection, but cannot get it via a wireless connection.

Hey, I have the same issue. I have the Nokia BGW 320-505. I ran the tri-band for the same reasons, some legacy devices, and a separate 5ghz 160mhz band for streaming devices only. It was working really well with the tri-band. Then Monday morning one of the 5ghz bands disappeared. Att sent me a new gateway, same model and when first connecting the device I was able to get into the gateway before it connected to the broadband connection and the new device had 3 bands. The technician told me to hold on while the gateway does a software update after that the 3rd 5ghz band disappeared. The technician told me it's probably a recent software update, he said they were getting complaints from people about issues with their WiFi connections on the 3 bands so they might have disabled it.
That's extremely frustrating that instead of fixing the issue they just remove a feature. I guess now I'll have to do a passthrough and get a tri-band router which aren't cheap.

I agree it's frustrating. The least they could do is add a toggle switch. I mean it's not rocket science, it's just adding more lines of code, and adding in the functionality. But like I said previously, Its like ATT is copying off Concast at this point, in terms of removing functionality and stuff setting up hidden networks, etc. If I knew more about how this worked and how to program, i'd probably at least figure out a way to you know, enable what I want. ATT shouldn't charge us a rental fee, when they reduce functionality of a piece equipment, because then i'm not getting what I was told I was gonna get or what I'm paying for. ATT doesn't want to help consumers with IP passthrough and Cascaded router. Not trying to complain just tired of corporate geniuses who know nothing about my network and think they know whats best.
There's a toggle switch for the overall 2g and 5g radio, not quite like what NETGEAR has, which is a router mode, and non router mode. Netgear even gives the ability to use it completely as a modem.
But in terms of features, despite the firmware being vanilla, It has more features than any of my routers. Anyhow.. AT&T shouldn't assume what they think is best actually is. This has been proven with equipment. They do lab tests, and limited field tests with the equipment and when they deploy the new equip it has issues. Like the 210's for example. Didn't take much for those to break. The funnier thing is theoretically speaking you don't need a tech but for initial install.
Meaning, ATT and hardware OEM provides documentation on devices, and how to connect it and everything. They even have docs on replacing the 320 for your average user to easily swap, even if they aren't tech savvy.

Well IF they broke it, they should push out a fix to restore functionality. From what I can tell so far, they've entirely disabled the third band and left us with the one 5g network. Doesn't show in UI at all. SHM doesn't show extenders, devices disconnect and wont reconnect easily. Some say there is no connectivity. I miss the older 2wire routers that were reliable (2009 era) , We only had to have one swap back then and that was done by us with one they sent us via the mail. This was with the classic coax service with uverse. Anymore they gotten a little too fancy with the footwork. I understand that they want to add or remove features, but why not make it like windows, where you have the ability to add and remove features.
On the other hand, in terms of equipment, its reasonably good quality, doesn't have the best cooling system, and tends to fail easily. Not trying to be critical or complain simply stating suggestions and observations. I will certainly note that if they simply did an install with fiber and showed like they do in some of the guides, with the Ethernet jack in the wall and the Ont (if applicable) somewhere else (e.g In a closet with access to a 120v AC Grounded outlet.) It could potentially reduce the need for fiber replacements and give the ability for things to be plug and play so to speak.
It could also give consumers whom are tech savvy the ability to use their own equipment and not have to worry about att accidentally breaking something with a change. Anyhow, I'm hoping that corporate sees this and will fix the issue or at least provide a workaround/ability to provision prior firmware to router.
I will also note that our prior technician left the outdoor fiber box open and exposed (the door on it was open, bolt not even secured) to the elements and wildlife. Not complaining about that as I re secured it after discovering it, just saying that the techs should be required to double check connections for it.
I do apologize if this comes across as rude as it is not my intention for it to. I also apologize for the many images here. But I figured its better to provide more details than needed than not enough.

I'm seeing the same problem as OP here in NC. It also started about a week ago.
In addition to the stated issue the bigger (for me) problem is that the manual channel selection option is gone for 5GHz. You can still set a manual channel for 2.4GHz, so this looks like a bug to me. We could choose from a limited set of DFS channels before, but now auto channel (non-DFS is always selected) seems to be the only option for 5GHz.

Just saw that today. And thought " Great, AT&T is teasing us like a donkey and a carrot on a stick" (i think that's an appropriate analogy.)

Same problem as jj33tt, the last update disabled the channel selection for the two wifi radio on 5 ghz. You can select only the button "Find Best 5GHz Channel" which is doing 90% of the time not a good selection.
Please AT&T, put back the manual selection.
