NVG 599 Keeps Rebooting - Gigapower

My NVG599 keeps rebooting itself. Not disconnecting, but a FULL reboot. This happens 2 - 3 times a day, if not more.

In my "Firewall" log, it shows a LOT of "Illegal IP Address" under "Reason".

Sounds like it could be a DNS issue and since AT&T locks down the router and won't allow us to change the DNS to a WORKING and FASTER DNS server, what are my options?

I have disabled IPv6 as per some suggestions on other boards but will have to wait and see if that has any effect.

Any suggestions?

Well, ever since I turned off IPv6 on the router, I have not had any issues.

I will post back here in a couple of days to let you know if there are any changes.

I would suggest that EVERYONE turn off IPv6 on the NVG599!

@squirl1899 Yup, it's on the 510, 589 and now 599 Arris/Moto RGs IPv6 causes rebooting, disconnects and browsing problems. 😉

We just had our intenet speed increased. Tech added a line and new modem is NVG599. I can get into the software with the 192. address, how do I turn off the IPv6?

If your good with networking and are good with Linux you might want to consider bypassing the modem.

Have not idea about Linux. I found the IPv6 tab and switched it off. Well , we went 24 hours without an issue this time, but last night and this morning lost service again. The shutting off of the IPv6 did not work. Only way to fix this may be a phone call to Comcast.
