Move/Transfer Service - Kept equipment, but getting notices to return it?

Hey there,

I moved recently from one address to another, keeping my ATT service the same.  I was instructed to hold on to our equipment and use at the new house.  Tech installed our service with the aforementioned equipment and it's working great.

However, I have gotten a few notices now (email and one in the mail) stating I need to return my equipment to avoid a late fee/penalty. What can I do to get this resolved? (possible to email someone? I have a newborn at home so being on the phone is not ideal...)

Thanks so much! - H

No need to worry about it. Automatic message because your previous service moved. Call 800-288-2020 while the newborn is sleeping. Tell them and they can confirm you don’t need to return the equipment and stop the messages.

Or a faster way to get to the exact same people without the delay of the BBB in the middle is to fill out the form HERE.

Ignore the stated purpose on the form.  This will be responded to within 24 hrs by someone from the Executive Care team at AT&T and they can get things done.  Once you submit, make sure you're ready to get a call from a number that isn't familiar.  If you miss it your chances of calling back and getting a successful result goes down.

Good luck!

Thank you all for the helpful suggestions and quick responses!  I was able to successfully get this resolved by calling; however the form that was linked is very helpful for future reference.

Edit: Accepting the form response; but was happy with all responses to this thread.  Thanks again everyone.
