Internet keeps dropping

Devesh times a day, the internet connection is lost for a few seconds. I have to disconnect and reconnect my wifi connection on my phone or computers if I want to connect immediately. Or wait a couple of minutes for everything to get back to normal. Very irritating, especially because I am working a lot from home. I have the to most 1gig fiber service! Anyone face this ? What's the fix?

Just a new modem yesterday and the sam e issue with the internet going out at least 10 to 15 times a day.  Time to change providers as no matter where I live it is the same issue.  AT&T should stick to what they know and I can tell you it isn't being an internet provider.

AT&T core business is being an Internet provider.  They do not, however, get the best Wi-Fi in their Gateways. And that's probably your issue @Brendrb .

@Brendrb  I feel your pain. While I don't have AT&T Fiber where I am living currently ( i have co-workers who live nearby that do) we all experience the regular 10-15 internet drops a day thanks to the poor service. Last year we had 12 service visits from AT&T support staff, and I would say my wife (I felt so bad for her) was on the phone with them probably 25 times. They replaced all of the wiring for the internet inside and out (even doing it out to the street) as well as replaced our router 3 times. Either nobody at AT&T knows what the problem is or nobody cares at this point.

Sadly alot of people are like the town I live in, where AT&T is the only choice for internet, its expensive and slow along with very poor customer service.

@JefferMC  My PC's are hardwired, not using WiFi and this issue occurs. It is not a WiFi only issue.

@jma1795 I think you hit it on the head that they just don't care at this point. Few to no other options and they have you trapped.... and don't have to care.

I agree. I've both hardlined and Wifi, as well as increased and reduced the devices on my network. I can pound the network with as much traffic as our router can handle or as little. I do tent to have less issues having turned everything on the AT&T router off (no wifi) and run my own Netgear Router as the home internet. It seems the AT&T router has a artificial limit of 5 devices they don't tell you about, and if you hit that limit the router "reboots" yet the same number of devices but connected to my "downstream" router plugged into the AT&T router has no problems.

We have AT&T fiber, and DirectTV stream.  We have to reset the individual AT&T streaming devices several times per day because of interrupted internet connection. (I own them.  I bought them from AT&T when we started the fiber service)    AT&T sent me a survey and I mentioned that they should make the reset buttons larger, something like Staple's "EASY" button from years ago.  It would make it easier to find the button since it is used so often.

We have bought another house where there are two choices for internet service.  Because of the intermittent problems with AT&T fiber we will probably choose the other option.

Anyone get an update on this? I'm having the same issue with my fiber 1000Mbs. Weirdly it's mainly my download that's the problem. I can stream on twitch no problem, but I can't WATCH someone stream on twitch without putting the resolution to 160p

To echo many of the previous comments, I too am experiencing this. WFH and need to be on Teams calls all day. Just momentary drops. It is not noticed while watching streaming services via the firestick but perhaps there is a buffer there to smooth it over. Three laptops, two users, and it goes in waves. Sometimes we are good for a couple months, then several weeks in a row of multiple dropped meetings per day. The Smarthome app reveals no issues and shows great speed tests. No resolution but our other choice is switching to Spectrum (or just going into the office).
