How to change time for system upgrades

My internet stops working several times a month but always at 12:00 (noon). There were no outages reported on the app.  I spent hours on the website trying to get to talk to a person, but only was able to get through to Chat. The 'person' on the Chat, did system checks (not what I needed) and scheduled a technician (not what I needed), and finally understood my question when I asked specifically if there was a system upgrade performed today. There indeed was, unfortunately this meant my internet was down for the 12-1 lunch hour when I had a video interview.

This seems to be a popular time for system upgrades - 'lunch time' but also the critical time of day when I often have video meetings (including interviews). This has happened several times in the last month that I have been unable to attend the meetings or had to resort to a phone/audio only connection because my internet went down at 12. Is there any way to schedule these (myself) for a different time?

It is BGW210-700. The power light stays on but the broadband light goes on and off. It 'acts' like an outage, and each time it lasts an hour.

The tech that I wan able to reach on the phone sent me a new modem (same kind). I am not sure if that is the real problem. We will see what happens.

OK swap in the replacement gateway and let us know what changes if anything.
