Disconnected fiber optic
My dogs pulled my AT&T fiber optic cable out of the wall. How can I reconnect it?

You need a tech visit to fuse the fiber to a new connector.

Does that cost or is it covered?

Expect a $99 service call, will be up to the tech but generally any issues inside the home other than the gateway is billable.

Same problem here only the cat's the culprit.... Could I not just seat the fiber back into the lc connector, snap it back into its housing, screw on the strain relief and be good?

There is a YouTube video on how...
As the fiber is broken off into the existing connector will need to make some purchases....
1) Some SC/APC ends estimare $5 to $6 each
2) fiber stripper, 3 hole
3) cleaver to cut fiber to predetermined length
Optional...
1) ruby red to check your connection
2) fiber meter to test strength of light
Or call and schedule a service appointment, 800-288-2020 most markets expect 3 to 5 days for repair.

Good point. Guess I forgot everything I learned about terminating fiber but hey, that was 34 years ago lol. Tech scheduled for Thursday.
