devices list on gateway incorrect

my list only shows three items hooked up by ETHERNET cable when I only have two devices with ethernet cabls attached and my 9 year old sons chrome book does not appear on list so I am unable to manage settings specific to it and have to just shut all wifi down. I can just use cox if I dont get half of what I pay for.

We understand your frustration, and we'd be happy to help you with the device list with your gateway @drehc

Just to confirm, are you checking the device list on our Smart Home Manager app? If it is the Smart Home Manager app, then we have information on why the Smart Home Manager app isn't working correctly

  • Restart the app.
  • Reboot your gateway.
  • Uninstall and Reinstall the app.
  • Make sure you are logging in with the correct ID. If you are not sure, visit the Find your ID page.
  • Remove 3rd party devices, such as routers and switches. Afterward, reboot your gateway and restart the app to see if that helps. 3rd party devices can cause conflicts with the app. If you still need to use a 3rd party device, use smart home manager to optimize your network before adding the 3rd party device back.
  • You can also access Smart Home Manager from the web at http://sm.att.com/f272f05e.  If you have issues connecting, we recommend clearing your cache and cookies or trying another browser.

Let us know if this helps and if you aren't using the Smart Home Manager app so we can provide the correct troubleshooting steps.

I just got the 320 model gateway and there are 30 active and working devices connected to the gateway but only 23 are listed under the IP allocation table, 7 active and working devices IP addresses are not listed, since they are not shown on the list I'm not able to allocate private IPs to them and manage their IPs from within the gateway. This unit replaced a defective model 210 but at least on the 210 I didn't have this issue. It listed all the devices correctly. This unit needs a re-flash to correct this issue, it should be listing the 30 devices which are active and working. I'll be requesting a replacement to this replacement to see if that corrects the problem, next week. Tech support could not fix it, and even chat with experts all said basically the same thing, is a software issue with this particular unit.

Go to the device tab, select device list. Select clear and rescan for devices.

You shouldn’t have any settings in the gateway to manage the Chromebook. If your Chromebook is connected to Wi-Fi you adjust the settings in the Chromebook. If you are talking about the smart home manager app, it is not very good and problems with it are typical.

This is an up date to my comment above. So I got another replacement to the replacement same model 320, still have the same issue. Only 25 devices out of 30 (active and working devices), show on the IP Allocation table, nobody has been able to tell me the reason. I say again 30 devices connected, 25 show on the IP allocation table. I can access all 30 devices from withing the gateway, so the gateway has an IP address assigned to the devices that are not shown on the IP allocation table. There are five devices connected and working that are not listed on the IP allocation table. This is the second 320 unit that has this issue. The only thing I have not been able to do is to re-flash the unit to see if is a firmware issue since this is controlled by ATT. Is there a limit on the IP allocation table on these models to 25 devices? I run a small smart home so 30 devices is just basic stuff, light switches, plugs, WIFI cameras, computers, and several assistants around the house. With the older model 210 (Black) gateway, All 30 devices were listed without any issues. There have been no changes at all on any of the devices, so they are working, are connected, and verified by the smart manager online and on my phone. The only thing that have changed is the model 320 gateway twice! What gives!
