Default Ethernet network name
My Wi-Fi network names are correct but when I'm hard wired the local connection name shows the ATT default name for my local connection. How do I change this name?

My Wi-Fi network names are correct but when I'm hard wired the local connection name shows the ATT default name for my local connection. How do I change this name?

Hi there, @gfixelle! We understand that you would like to change the name for your wired connection, and we want to help clear this up.
At this time, there is no way to edit/change the name of your Ethernet connection like you can with a Wi-Fi network name.

Hmm. With my old pace modem the Ethernet took the same name as my wireless. On the new boxes it takes the default network name. Weird that can't be modified. That's a step backwards
