2. And how often does this update to a new version?

3. I keep seeing my modem reboot itself every day or two. Could a firmare update be causing this?

Well, no argument about AT&T not having a clue but they aren't the only ones who don't issue change logs. Comcast doesn't and worse than that, they control the firmware for all modems and routers used on their service, even if you own them.

Not a defense at all, just saying that AT&T might be a standout if they actually did release that info.

Also, while some manufacturers do issue change logs, I can tell you from experience as a beta tester that those logs are never complete and often just lump various things under one more generic category.

It's no different than Google saying they updated the Google Drive app month after month and every time it says "Performance improvements and bug fixes".
