Can't connect external device

Switched from xfinity to at&t. Use photosync on android to transfer auction images from my phone to pc. Have bgw-320-500 modem from AT&T. Have set port forwarding and ip pass through and still the bgw will not permit data from an external app to connect wirelessly to my pc. Developers of app stated that some modems prohibit external to send data.

Hey there @Goldbug,

We hear you, and we'd like to help.

Are you seeing any error message while trying to transfer the data?

Once we have that information, we'll be able to help.

@Goldbug

You can't connect from your Android over Wi-Fi on your local LAN unless you use a local LAN address for your PC and not IP/Passthrough mode. The AT&T Modems don't support loopback on the local LAN when using the IP of your BGW320 to share with your device in IP/Passthrough mode..

If you are not trying to connect from your Android over Wi-Fi and really mean allow remote access to your PC from the Internet then you may have missed one or more steps in properly setting up your PC for IP/Passthrough mode. You don't need to open ports as all ports are forwarded by default to your device in IP/Passthrough mode.

More specific details on your exact configuration would help us to provide more specific assistance here on the Forum.
