Can I install a splitter and have Comcast internet instead

Into the AT&T router is a coax cable that I believe supplies the cable. I just had to move home (got a new job offer today, though!!) and I have my own internet through Comcast that's 12x faster, literally. Can I get a splitter and run one OUT to the AT&T box and one to my Comcast gateway? Will that work? Is there another way I'm not just out for the internet I paid for this month?

No. The Coax port on the back of the 5268ac is output for U-verse IPTV and requires the 5268ac AT&T Gateway to be connected to AT&T's network. The Internet input connection for the 5268ac is either the Red ONT port or the Green Port if you had AT&T Copper service.

You can usually transfer it to a new location (by contacting the ISP and having them move it) assuming they have service/infrastructure at the new address.

Note that is it *highly* unlikely that multiple companies will offer cable Internet service in the same location.

If you had CABLE service at the old location from AT&T, and Comcast CABLE service the new location, it is fairly unheard of for AT&T to also have CABLE service at that new location. A given cable plant (the wires etc that run to the houses) belongs only to ONE cable company.

Not, if the AT&T was actually some form of DSL, you could move it. But you can't just take the existing modem and plug it in at the new home - you have to actually contact the provider and order the service moved. It might or might not involve a setup fee. It might or might not involve them having to send a tech to the new omegle location to connect/activate it.
