BGW-320 failing?
Hello, For the past weeks, my gateway seems to fail randomly, i.e. we are losing WiFi and ethernet internet. No specific reason, it's happening randomly during the day or night. Once it's stuck in a limbo, the only option is to unplug the power cable and restart. I get random messages that the optic cable is not connected but overall, when the gateway is not screwing up, I have perfectly fine DSL speeds. Is AT&T offering defective modem replacement?

Reopening the thread after what I thought had been taken care of.
Technician was supposed to come out Friday 12/30 to check the fiber cable outside the house. Never got a call so I cannot say whether or not the tech showed up and/or found anything to fix.
Saturday. WiFi seemed to be all day. Yet 1/1/2023 morning, router fail again.
Upon contacting the agent in the chat, I didn't get any answer but I received a text message saying an outage was fixed in my area.
Alas, after a day of working fine after restarting it this morning, the WiFi dropped again 5 minutes ago.

During your interactions with AT&T has anyone suggested that you disable IPv6?
It may be off by default but to check, go to http://192.168.2.254/cgi-bin/ip6lan.ha , enter the Access Code from the back of the BGW and see if it's on. If it is, change it to Off and click the Save button. We've seen this be responsible for situations that seem a lot like yours.

@tonydi I did shut IPv6 off. DHCPv6 and DHCPv6 Prefix Delegation are still on.
Would I need to turn both those off as well?
Thanks anyway, I'll see if that makes the router more stable over time.

I'm currently having same issue with the router!!!!!! I had no intermittent issues with old router. Soon as they swapped it, router has mind of its own!! Very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!
