At&t is garbage

At&t is the worst internet service i have ever experienced. They claim 1000 mbps for internet speed, but I get 10 on my ps4. I previously used an extender prior with no issues, but after AT&T I get to experience their dog water connection. I contact support twice and all they did was routine garbage and tried port forwarding. Today when I called I got the joy of being pushed off to every department being put on hold 30 minutes at a time. After being put on hold for the 5th department I hung up and sent a crude email CEO John Stanky. After spending my entire trying to come up with a solution, I think tonight will be the last time I deal with this garbage service and give my money to a company that has functional internet.

Update: I chatted with att tech support where I was pushed onto a supervisor who ran a diagnostic test yet again and gave me a number for the fiber team.

If anyone has any recommendations for real internet please let me know. I hope At@t goes out of business and by the way they treat customers it looks like it'll be soon.

  • Is the speed slow only on your PS4?
  • What do the latest results of the AT&T speed test show?
  • Did you ever try Port Fowarding as a way to get the data to the appropriate device?

Only PS4, AT&T test shows 900 mbps speed, and I tried port forwarding and creating a guess network which did not help.

I connected it through wifi with and without an extender. Used an ethernet directly to the extender. Today I used an ethernet directly into the modem and got about 30 for download speed. I use fiber 1000

  • Just to confirm, what speed are you getting on your other devices? 

 

We recommend forgetting the network on your PlayStation, then reconnect it to your network.

On my phone the at&t app says I'm getting 260 mbps. I forgot the network at the download speed is 25.

Try reaching out to the support team for Playstation so they can make sure everything is working properly on their end.

 

The fact that the main issue is with the one device leads us to believe that is where the problem lies.

Why is it that I can be on the phone for four days, hours at a time? Answer they do not care about their customers. Now with that said let me just say the service I’m getting is .001 on speed test. Mind you this was on the phone with them multiple times. See the issues? Not to mention them over charging me for months!! It’s not over yet now 2 years after having internet with them.. there was a previous person living at my home almost 10 years ago. Now they say that prevents me from getting a service upgrade… at&t is going down. Every single thing I have personally had (Edited per community guidelines). Phones, internet customer service and there base product. (Edited per community guidelines) at&t get your stuff together
